GREEN ROOF AND WALL RECENT INSTALLATIONS
BAINBRIDGE STREET GREEN ROOF
Installed here is a hybrid green roof, providing the lightweight advantages of an extensive system and the versatility of plant types with deeper soils.  The basis is a modular pre-grown panel system by GLT Green Living Technologies with deeper soil added to select areas. This gives the roof a sculpted landscape effect.
The roof is installed over a green membrane system: Coal Tar Elastomeric Membrane waterproofing.
Designed by G_space and Philly Green wall and installed by MNB Constructs.

BAINBRIDGE STREET GREEN ROOF
The paved area is provided in lieu of a wooden roof deck and is significantly cooler as outdoor living space than an un-vegetated roof deck.
<- Inspection of Green roof panels prior to installation.
Planted with a Various Array of Sedums planted in place from plugs, including: Fuldeglut, Sexagulars, Montanum and Sedum Acre.
In soil which is 6″ high we planted, Creeping Phlox,  Black Eyed Susan’s, Carpobrotus glaucescens which produce purple pink flowers(shown in both photos) with succulent green leaves. This roof is filling in very well !

FRONT STREET GREEN ROOF
The Owners requested a wood roof deck for their new addition. After learning the benefits they opted for a green roof with paved areas. The pavers are installed loose laid, set in the growing media, over the same drainage modules with water retention blanket  used for the Green roof.  Despite the small area of vegetated roof this roof still retains a significant amount of storm water since the water retention system is installed under the pavers as well.
The roof was planted in place and not pre-grown due to the difficulty in accessing the site.
